The seven Sansa mountain monasteries

These are the seven monasteries inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2018 under the name Sansa, Buddhist Mountain Monasteries in Korea. Visit them one at a time and the stamps collect in this browser. There is no deadline and nothing expires.

The inscription itself is recorded on the UNESCO World Heritage List and in the world heritage list published by the Korea Heritage Service. English names on this page are the spellings used by that inscription, not our own invention. The English name comes from the inscribing source, spelled exactly as that source spells it. Everything else about each temple comes from the traditional temple register published by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.
