호랑이 형상 같다고 임호산이라 부르며, 호랑이의 벌린 입이 너무 험악하고 지형상의 악기를 없애기 위하여 가락국때 장유화상이 호랑이의 입이 되는 곳에 절을 세워 백성을 편안하게 하였다고 전해짐.
