1908년 변설호스님이 유가사와 도성암을 왕래하면서 중계지 포교당을 설립하였음. 한국 동란때에도 소실되지 않은 현풍면의 유일한 사찰이며 1958년 7월15일 김해운 스님이 대웅전과 요사를 중수하였음. 소유자는 유가사로 되어있음.
