1909년 金眞性覺 보살이 養道庵으로 창건한 후 養道寺, 眞興寺로 개칭. 1980년대에 태고종에 소속되었으며 현재는 개인사찰과 다름이 없다. 동서로 긴 장방형의 대지위에 극락보전과 요사및 선방을 배치하였음. 요사는 정면 4칸, 축면1칸의 팔작지붕으로 근래에 우인스님에 의해 크게 중창불사가 이루어지고 있다.
