안흥사는 원래 경산시 남천면 협석리 잡수골에 신라시대에 창건한 사찰이었으나 해방후 6.25때 본 사찰 건물이 소실되어 경산시 백천동 으로 이건하였다가 다시 1965년에 삼남동으로 옮겼다 그러나 유지를 못하고 1971년 3월에 현재 위치한 상방동에 조그만 건물을 신축 이전하였다.현재 안흥사는 대웅전과 요사채의 2동의 건물로 구성되어있다.
