서악사(西岳寺)는 예천군 예천읍 대심동 산13번지 봉덕산(鳳德山) 중턱에 자리한 대한불교조계종 제8교구 본사 직지사의 말사이다. 절의 창건은 언제 이루어졌는지 정확히 알 수 없으나, 신라시대 신문왕대에 의상 대사가 이루었다고 전한다. 서악사는 본래 이 지역의 동서남북 사악(四岳)에 있던 절 가운데 하나였다.
