ㅇ 허황후는 인도의 부모를 위하여 부암과 모암을 창건하고 자신의 뿌리를 알리기 위해 자암을 지었다 한다. ㅇ 이때의 모암이 바로 지금의 모은암이라고 전해지고 있으며, 일설에는 김수로왕의 맏아들 거등왕이 부모님과 자손을 위해 창건？다고 전해지고 있음.
