조선말(1852년) 점술가 노인이 이곳에 오두막을 지어 이를 지왕당이라하고 마당에 포구나무를 심고 살았으며 사람들이 이 노인을 찾아와 소원을 말하면 신통력으로 정확히 점괘를 알려주어 소원 성취를 함으로서 유명해졌다고 함.
