광덕사는 백운당이 동학의 수행자로서 불교를 동경하여 1920년에 창건하였다 경내에 1952년 4월 5일 최수운 도덕연원 영세 불망비를 세워 매년 이날 천제를 올리고 있다. 1974년 법화종 말사로 등록 1989년에 대웅전, 삼성각을 중수하고 삼존불과 후불탱화를 봉안하고 있다
