광덕사창건은 고려시대 경으로 추정되며 1949년 석불의 몽조를 얻어 이묘연 보살이 석불옆에 초암 3칸을 세우고 광덕리 이동명을 따라 광덕사라 함. 대웅전은 1949년 초옥 3칸으로 세워, 1978년에 시멘트 기와 3칸으로 중수했고 요사채는 1949년 초옥 6칸으로 세워, 1978년에 스레트기와로 중창, 1994년 말끔히 다시 단장했다.
